About the Coupe
Michael Palton
Classic Mercedes Enthusiast
At this point in time I am willing to let go of my 72 Mercedes Coup; for the past 8 years I have driven it almost daily; was my only car; before I always had 1 or 2 regular cars for business/meetings, etc. This car runs great [in the past 8 years I have driven a total of about 26,000 miles]; I have done all of the proper restore/re-building of the: Eng/Head/Carbs/Master Cylinder/Rear Brakes are completely new (maybe 8k on them); front brakes also have 8k on them, may need a new f/r caliper when time for new pads/new muffler (3-4 years old)/oil & filter changed every 3k miles/Radiator has been completely secured (soldered/Brass) plus I have an extra one that is also completely secured (they last forever)/brand new Continental Tires/ have had a variety of minor repairs as needed. I have complete/valid receipts for all of the repairs/work; they total approximately $15,000. It is fun to drive; it runs wonderfully; everyone loves it; stop me many times when I ride around Chicago...
